Cybermation, the developer of enterprise job scheduling and software change management solutions, has announced a major enhancement to its ESP job scheduling solution. This SAP integration-certified version of the ESP Business Agent for SAP® R/3® software solution features upgraded functionality that enables tighter integration with SAP applications and IT infrastructure, leading to increased productivity and significant time-savings.

ESP solutions help enterprises to align IT with the overall business strategy by tying together complex operating systems, platforms and applications, and presenting them as complete business processes. The flexible architecture of ESP and its Business Agent for SAP solutions extends the reach of all SAP R/3 components, including the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) solution, Batch Data Commands (BDCs), process chains, SAP jobs, and ABAP jobs across multiple platforms and operating systems. These and other components can be integrated with jobs running in non-SAP environments throughout the enterprise.

It does so with no changes to the existing SAP R/3 solution configuration or set-up, and it interfaces seamlessly with SAP R/3’s internal job scheduling system. That brings great cost savings.”

Improved features of the Business Agent include fully automated single point control of the built-in data archiving in SAP R/3, permitting users to define and schedule sessions, including archiving, print and report specifications; a web posting utility that allows users to view the current status of SAP jobs on the web through any browser; and process monitoring, which allows ESP solutions to respond with automated action to events within the SAP solution-based environment.

The latest version of the ESP Business Agent Version 5.0 for SAP R/3, is now fully integration-certified by SAP, and is generally available from Cybermation.
