[Update 02/24/2008: The conference is only a week away, and we are still receiving late registration requests to which I'd like to reiterate that we simply cannot accommodate any more attendees. For those of you no longer able to get into the SharePoint Conference, the best alternative is the Microsoft TechEd conferences in Orlando, FL in June, where there will be plenty of SharePoint focused content as well as product group and MVP presence. Register by April 4th and get a $200 early bird discount!]
That's right, and you'll be seeing the following updated conference logo in many e-mail signatures of Microsoft people, including mine. :-)

We now have over 3,200 people registered! Because our team continues to receive requests for "back channel" registrations, which we simply cannot do, I'd like to reiterate and elaborate on what Tom Rizzo just posted on this blog:
We would love to get more customers and partners into the conference, but we are at the capacity allowed by the fire code. We will definitely get a larger space for the next conference. For this conference, we now have a wait list process, but please note that just like with a wait list at the airport, it's a "zero sum game" in that a currently registered attendee would need to cancel in order for a slot to be freed up for someone on the wait list.
For those of you lucky enough to be registered but missed our automated e-mail last week about voting for the sessions that you are most excitedly looking forward to, please take a look at the conference tracks and sessions therein and cast your votes ASAP.
If you're looking for other conferences that have a significant orientation towards SharePoint products and technologies and a high likelihood of some level of presence from the SharePoint product group, visit the SharePoint Community Portal's Events page or subscribe to its RSS feed.
