The BizTalk Utilities Adapter for SAP
provides integration between SAP and BizTalk Server 2002. The aim
of the Adapter is to reduce the complexity and implementation time
when integrating a SAP System with BizTalk Server 2002.
The Adapter provides the following
functionality:
- Sending, Receiving and BizTalk Schema
generation of SAP IDocs
(Version 2.0.0+ Feature)
- RFC Interface: The RFC interface
allows BizTalk Server to call a SAP Remote Function Call without
writing any code. BizTalk Server can call the RFC synchronously
or asynchronously. The only requirement is a generated SAP .NET
Connector Client Proxy.
- A detailed error message is provided when
an invalid Document Replacement Function is detected.
The RFC Interface allows BizTalk Server to
make a SAP Remote Function Call without writing any code. The RFC
Interface consists of a single BizTalk Application Integration
Component (AIC). The RFC Interface requires that a SAP .NET
Connector Client Proxy is generated and compiled with the SAP .NET
Connector in Visual Studio .NET.
The SAP Adapter has been enhanced to cater
for the sending and receiving of IDocs. It has the following
features:
- Uses the SAP .NET Connector Version 1.0.1
- Generation of BizTalk Schemas from IDoc
Types within a SAP System.
- IDocs can be received and submitted to
BizTalk Server 2002 using a Receive Function. It features an
advanced routing mechanism for submitting the documents to
BizTalk Server.
- IDocs can be sent to a SAP System using
an Application Integration Component (AIC).
- All of this can be easily configured
within the BizTalk Utilities Adapter for SAP Administration MMC
Snap-In.
- In addition the routing of IDocs can be
tested within the MMC Snap-In.
- The Adapter does not require that any
changes be made to your existing SAP System.
The Schemas include the following records:
- Control Records
- Data Records
- Status Records
It can generate schemas for the following
SAP Releases
- SAP Release 2
- SAP Release 3
- SAP Release 4
